This is an uncategorized outage.
Google Chrome is being updated across campus due to several security bugs that were recently discovered in older versions of Chrome. The update has already been pushed to labs as of 5/1/2014. Installs in offices will begin to be updated today (5/2/2014). When non-admin users install Chrome, Chrome will install into their user profile (C:\users\USERNAME\...) instead of Program Files due to the fact that a non-admin user does not have permissions to install to Program Files. When the update is pushed out it will remove a "user install" and switch it to a "system install" that is located in Program Files. Users may see the an error message. After they click "OK" the install will be moved. They will be able to keep all settings/bookmarks/customizations. Users may have to re-create shortcuts in the start menu and task bar.
