UWEC WIFI issue

This is an unplanned outage.

We are currently experiencing a problem with the UWEC WIFI. We are working through the problem, we have temporarily enabled the original UWECwireless WIFI connectivity. EDUROAM is still operating.

Resolution: The UWEC WIFI problem has been resolved by moving to an alternate authentication service. UWECwireless will remain on for the rest of today.

Campus WIFI

We are experiencing intermittent WIFI connectivity issues this morning and are working with the vendor on a solution.

Resolution: Working with our vendor we have a solution in place. All Clear.

Public Website Down

The public website (www.uwec.edu, ce.uwec.edu, library.uwec.edu, et al) is currently down and under investigation. In the meantime, important links to Webmail, CampS, Canvas, etc. remain accessible. Thank you for your patience.

Resolution: The public website is back up and all related services are now available. Thank you for your patience.

FollowMe Printing Slow or Unresponsive

PaperCut FollowMe MFDs are currently experiencing an issue where the ability to login and release prints is low or will time out. LTS is working with the vendor to determine the cause of the issue and resolve it as quickly as possible.

Resolution: Slow or timed out logins to FollowMe MFDs were resolved late last night. There was an unexpected impact to the PaperCut system when another service being upgraded was not available to communicate with. A process to adjust settings in the PaperCut system when the other service is unavailable is in place to prevent slow or timed out logins in the future.

Knowledge Base Issues

Eform1 is currently having data connection failures

BOSE Cluster - SLURM not functioning with default MySQL DB/Logging engine

The BOSE Cluster is currently configured to use a work around solution temporarily until the issue with MySQL terminating is resolved. Job requests may not function as expected.

Resolution: LTS Outage Notification: High Performance Computing - BOSE Cluster The BOSE Cluster is currently back up and running. Should you experience any further issues with the BOSE Cluster, please report them to BGSC.ADMINS@uwec.edu.

Jamf Pro Server Outage (Including Self Service on macOS_

The Jamf Pro server, which is used to manage macOS, iOS, and iPadOS devices, was taken offline for an emergency security update at 3pm on Friday, December 17th, 2021. Use of the Self Service application to install software and run various macOS actions will be offline till the update is complete.
